We founded Feisty Duck in 2009 out of a desire to support continuous publishing, which we believe is the best way to publish technical books. Anything related to technology changes very quickly, and it's often the case that books are out of date as soon as they are published. With continuous publishing, changes can be released as needed and as often as needed. With modern print on demand workflows, even printed books can be released frequently. Our flagship book, Bulletproof TLS and PKI, was initially published in 2014, but continues to be up to date today.
In 2016 we expanded into computer security training, after noticing a gap on the market for in-depth, genuine, high quality training. In many ways, our training courses are an extension of the effort we put into our books. We're content with offering a small number of books and training courses, while focusing on maintaining quality over time.
In 2018 we launched a new venture, Hardenize, where we build a continuous Internet asset discovery and monitoring platform that promotes best security, TLS, and PKI practices.
